Understand Your Why

You have to know why you are doing this diet. Doing it for weight loss is great, but it should be a small reason to your why. Losing weight leads to a healthy life. It can get you more active for sure, shedding that excess weight that is keeping you down. I have found that as I have lost this weight, I feel more capable of small to big tasks in my day to day life. For example, mowing the lawn is easier or any yard work for that instance. But… that is not the only thing that comes from this diet. It is how I feel, that propels me forward each day. You can be super skinny, but if you feel like garbage, you won’t want to mow that lawn. It’s that simple, you are motivated to do that work around your house because you wake up feeling like a million bucks.

On the days where I have eaten too much dairy or had sugar, like in certain meats or condiments, I can feel it the next day. I just would prefer not to eat those things, and in return feel like I can do anything the following morning. You always have to think ahead into the next day. Imagine that feeling of sluggishness when you are tempted to eat that cookie etc. That will help you to understand your why and keep it at the forefront of your mind. Once you truly believe your why, you will be unstoppable and won’t look back.
